Long have Iridologists been begging the author to republish her classic text on Iridology. It is available as a softcover, spiral bound copy and thank goodness for that. Hands down there is no other textbook on Iridology that comes close to covering this subject with as much expertise, and shall I say 'healthy skepticism' as does Farida Sharan. Dr. Sharan takes this subject and covers every single facet with remarkable, detailed, defined, well researched precision. And the information is put into context. Iridology is a form of diagnoses that analyses the colored part of the iris to determine inherent strengths and weaknesses of body systems and organs and their effect on the aging and disease process. What Farida Sharan discusses in depth is how an understanding of holistic anatomy and physiology can be used to understand the individual aging process, and how this is viewed in the iris. Iridology has the potential to change our understanding of how we create disease, and how, as individuals we can actively (barring uncontrollable influences) prevent it. A remarkable book, by a remarkable pioneer. Of note, Farida Sharan is the first Iridologist to bring together studies by Iridologists around the world. She believed in sharing information for the betterment of mankind. In this book, her philosophy of generosity shows.
