(More customer reviews)This text is a classic--not to mention a great doorstop. It weighs so much I don't bring it to class-or anywhere else for that matter. Size aside it is an excellent textbook, informative, yet accessible. The charts and images are clear and helpful; they augment the main text. I can't speak to the additional online and CD resources yet, but thus far the book alone has served me well. A recommendation: save yourself a lot of money and get a used copy of a previous edition-the content is the same and the saving can be huge.

(More customer reviews)The book and study guide contain many inconsistencies/errors for example in Chapter 69, there are two answers to the study guide that are contraindicated in the text, as well in chapter 70, the term re-epithelialisation is replaced with epithealialisation. But all in all much better than the error ridden Potter and Perry I had first term. Elsevier should emply better editors.

(More customer reviews)I used this handy reference in school, and it not only helped me to get excellent grades but it also is what I consider a needed reference for the American registry exam for radiologic technologists. This book covers quite thoroughly the section on Patient Care for the american registry exam. I was also recommended a few other books from someone who previously took the american registry exam and passed.
The other books are:
"The Ultimate Study Guide for the Registry Examination in Radiography:Key Review Questions and Answers" by Leonardi (Volume1) (Volume2) and (Volume 3). These books had all the questions and answers one needs to make sure they know before taking this test. I know because they helped me to pass.

(More customer reviews)There is nothing worse than pulling out 2 books in the middle of lecture and then trying to find a chapter or section with the rest of the class. It was difficult to put both books in my Jansport back pack, and it was difficult taking them out without spilling everything else! Do yourself a favor and just by the single volume to save yourself a hassle. Content wise, there are some sections that go nicely into details, and then there are sections that come short on explanations. I guess you will need a library of nursing books to get the whole picture.
