(More customer reviews)This book was outstanding. While much of the book focuses on the author's ultimately successful battle with breast cancer, it is far from being just a "cancer memoir". It is a beautifully written, vivid and inspiring memoir of a woman with a very full life, the devastating effects that breast cancer and its treatment had on her, and the many ways in which a whole community of dedicated friends and family helped her to cope and ultimately emerge with renewed strength.
