Due to my own personal struggles with health and sometimes, weight, I have read just about every book on food, diets, nutrition, and any combination thereof. Admittedly, I tried most of them as well. Without success. This is the first book that makes it all sound so easy to put together eating habits that would help me to choose foods that would be both pleasurable and beneficial. The format is easy to read and follow. Since this book does not exclude any particular food group or promote 'fads', it allows for personalization of favorite foods while still getting in the necessary nutrients needed to promote a more healthful state. It is appropriate for meat lovers as well as vegitarians. Sources of protein are well covered throughout the book. I made a list of my favorite foods from each chapter while I was reading it, then made a list containing each food item only once after I finished the book. My grocery bill has come down, my weight is coming down, my energy is up, and my stress over which foods to eat has vanished. To the Authors... Thank - you !
