Grainger & Allison's Diagnostic Radiology: A Textbook of Medical Imaging (3-Volume Set) Review

Grainger and Allison's Diagnostic Radiology: A Textbook of Medical Imaging (3-Volume Set)

I found this book to be very valuable during residency. I believe that it would be impossible to read a major text for each of the radiology subspecialties ie- Resnick for MSK, Osborn for neuro, Som/Curtin for head and neck, and so on. Thus, this text provided a source that was readable from cover to cover during residency while providing more detail than a more basic (but still excellent) intro text like Brant and Helms.

This 3-volume textbook is a comprehensive, authoritative reference source aimed primarily at the trainee radiologist preparing for his/her professional board examinations and for the general radiologist looking for a general overview of modern radiological imaging.Organized along an organ and systems basis, the book covers all diagnostic and interventional imaging techniques and modalities in an integrated, correlative fashion. While the text is broad in scope, the individual chapters are written by leading international specialists who provide authoritative guidance on how to apply the newest methods and technologies to specific diagnostic problems.

Child Abuse Medical Diagnosis & Management Review

Child Abuse Medical Diagnosis and Management
Average Reviews:

Among other things, this book has respectful pictures showing clearly both that physical abuse, and also sexual abuse including penetration by fingers and penises, is inflicted upon very small children, including those under three years old (see for example pages 764, 767, 768, 771, 772, 778,). Other pictures show that physical wounds can heal quickly, which I think implies that physical and sexual abuse can occur and be hidden in the household. Please read this book, EVERYONE, and not only professionals.
