Forced Exit: The Slippery Slope from Assisted Suicide to Legalized Murder Review

Forced Exit: The Slippery Slope from Assisted Suicide to Legalized Murder

No major change comes quickly. Little compromises are made that slowly but surely lead to a major, sometimes horrifying change. Such is the case with euthanasia.
Smith is a very readable writer and well informed on the issue. Yes there is some emotional content but that is not a bad thing. This is an emotionally charged issue. It is also a disturbing issue for many and far to many have fallen for the ready platitudes of the so called 'Death with Dignity' crowd. When the lies and sweet words are stripped from their word though a very harsh and frightening reality is left.
As one who has had to fight this beast (we lost the battle and our loved one, the war goes on) I can tell you he is spot on to the problem with this book and his other writing on the topic. He has recommendations as to the direction of the solution but the action to reach it lies with you and I.
I'm in are you?

Prescription: Medicide: The Goodness of Planned Death Review

``Dr. Death'' got his start with campaigns to allow death row inmates to donate their organs (currently organ donation is impossible). If you take a heart, a liver, two kidneys, two corneas, and bone marrow from a willing donor with a known execution date, and you can save quite a few lives with his death.
It's common-sense arguments like these, not grisly death-obsession, that makes this book worth reading. I expect that some readers will find the sections on euthanasia distasteful, but the subject is handled carefully and smartly.
For all his faults, Kevorkian is a strong and articulate voice who is too often written off automatically as a crank and a murderer. Read this book in order to balance your perspective, then judge him if you wish.

I found this book to be excellent. I think Mr. Rosenblatt is an unbelievable writer. I love the way everything was so detailed. I think this is an excellent book for anyone who finds euthenasia interesting. This would also be a great book for any lawyer or someone interested in law because you could learn alot from Mr. Rosenblatt from his book.
