(More customer reviews)This book is very high-yield. The text is short and sweet, but it is the pictures that set this book apart from the rest. I have many microbiology books including Konemann and I think this one is far and away the best for illustrations. Some examples of a few of the more esoteric pictures in the RISE exam are in this book, which helped me greatly on the microbiology section. Unfortunately there is no CD with it to review the photos on your computer, but the book is still worth it. If you are less than happy with Konemann and want a short book that you can review quickly before a RISE exam or the Board, I would highly recommend this title; it is worth every penny. It is a relatively new book, but it appears to be out of print so it is a little difficult to find. If you can't afford it, approach your program director or chairman about adding it to your department's library because it will be well utilized. Honestly, since a faculty member mentioned this book, I have discovered what a hidden treasure it is.
